BlockFest

It is an interactive exhibit that provides families with young children under the age of 8 with a rich, hands-on math and science learning opportunity. The exhibit has been shown to increase:

  •    parent knowledge of early development in the areas of math and science education
  •     opportunities to improve both social and literacy skills for young children.

A Positive Approach to Parenting


In these sessions you will learn about:
  • How to support childrens' developmental stages
  • Proactive strategies for preventing misbehavior
  • How our parenting styles are influenced
  • How to talk to children using encouraging words
  • Practical techniques to successfully guide behavior

Incredible Years Parent Training Program
 

A training program for parents or guardians with children 2-10 years old designed to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect. Goals are to increase:
  • Appropriate parenting skills
  • Appropriate parental discipline
  • Supportive family communication and relationships
  • Placement stability
 Offered By: Easter Seals Washington Community Services
When:
Classes are offered in 2 hour sessions for 12-16 weeks.
Mondays, 5:30 to 8:00pm
